A 40,000 volt coil should be labeled as
" Up to 40,000 Volts " . .because if your compression isn't high enough to offer up enough resistance for spark plugs and the coil to emit 40,000 volts, your 40,000 volt coil is still only putting out about 15,000 volts . . . or not much more that your standard, stock coil.
