I found this DC choke mechanism in my stash. The ball-detent on my current set up is all rounded off - and this one looks better.
I found more parts I needed . . . I think I'll try the DC-11 after all. What the heck.
I bolted on the "early early buddy seat" for extra comfort. This is the first version of this shape - made with the silver strip, smooth top and steel "V" grab rail.
Those are damn hard to find...
ReplyDeleteHere in the Midwest, they're everywhere. Must have taken them off for all our weird weather and wind conditions I suspect? It works great, unless it's really windy - I might make some type of baffle system for inside the air cleaner?
ReplyDeleteYou meant the DC-11 or the Buddy seat? You be good out there Lucky !
ReplyDeletethe buddy seat, those early ones are pretty rare
ReplyDeleteMy first Sportster was a 71 with a boattail. I couldn't wait to get rid of the ugly thing. I wish I had it back..not to use..it's still ugly, but to sell.
ReplyDeleteDo you do commercial work? I have some things to get done and I can't find a link and google doesn't help.
No work - just messin' with my own stuff and a few dudes I run with.
