Jeff Wright's Brooklyn Build . . .

Jeff entrusted us to assist in his latest build.  He is good at delegating responsibility to create the end result.  To have your name mentioned with Cole Foster, Zero Engineering, Hickman . . . among others, puts a little pressure on yourself to do-it-the-best-you-can.  But then, it's just a motorcycle - and you gotta have some fun with it or it ain't worth doin' it.  JW made sure I understood that.  I guess that's what makes him a unique builder.  He said I could blog about it . . . so here are some shots of the hours upon hours of trial, error and design that go into a project, a motorcycle, a custom machined version of an icon of American Two-Wheeled Performance . . . It's just what you want under you on a hot, Saturday nite, under the lights and the local hangout.

I'm at the concert last nite and this '32 Ford comes rumblin' up in front of The Surf Ballroom.  Some greaser hangs out the window and yells . . . "Shouldn't you be workin' on that motorcycle ????"  Oh shit !  The Ford is super sweet.  Jeremy jumps out and the door clicks shut with the sound of Henry Ford steel.  A fitting nite, a fitting ride and a fitting venue.  Jose had it . . . now it's in Iowa.  Looks the part.
So cool.  I guess he'll have to sell me that Chevy now that he's got the Ford ????!!!

Guitar Gods . . . Don Felder

When a guitar god is in the area, it's your duty as a rock enthusiast to go pay tribute by purchasing a ticket to hear sharp riffs, hammer-ons, the bending of strings and controlled feedback.
Don Felder wrote most of the Eagles big hits . . . and has shared the stage with Joe Walsh, Stills, Neil Young, Tommy Shaw & Frampton . . . and many others of rock guitar playin' virtuoso status.  Rock On !

Measuring, Thinking . . . Calculating

The Noot's get the opportunity to assist our friend Jeff with his latest street racer.  It's like Michaelangelo or Warhol handing you their painting and saying . . . "Do something on it . . ."  The more we look at this thing - it keeps your eyes moving.  Fab, Fit & Finish.

Shovster by Barnett

This is an Ironhead Sportster - with a Shovelhead top end.  It was in the Barnett booth.  Noot thought maybe it had Trock cylinders (which they made a few years) so you didn't have to bore the heck out of the cases so much.  It was professionally built, and had a wide variety of "years of parts" on the engine.  From the 60's to the 70's . . . it all came together as a very impressive custom motorcycle !

Best Barmaid in Sturgis Award

This gal was the best.  She always got me a tall, cold Pabst from a special cooler back there.  I guess they only pay barmaids $2 or 3 something plus tips.  So, they need the tip money.  She was from Florida - so, I called her Florida.  I had to give her the award for the coolest and best barmaid in Sturgis.  Me & Kike bought many beers from her - mostly due to her cool attitude. Right?

K Model flywheels . . .

I picked up these at the swap meet in Sturgis.

Bert Kleijer . . . via Holland

I ran into this chap and his lady navigating Hwy 44 on their restored pan / sidecar / rig.  Super cool.   We exchanged cards . . . and from what I could understand, Bert does complete rebuilds.  Everything.  All in . . . Esbeek, Holland.  Look 'em up . . .
