Me and "the 'ol man . . "

Working on motors next to your dad (mine is Big Noot), isn't always real glorious.  But, you can learn a thing or two if you pay attention.  I always use those band-type ring compressors.  You can struggle a bit with them - gettin' the thing on straight, loosening the bolt, tightening, jockey'n with the thing.  I've always noticed these cast-ring-type compressors in the drawer with all the Harley tools.  They work slick.  They are all tapered and smooth inside - slip right on - less apt to break a ring.  Slide right off the bottom.  Trick man !  He's even got one stashed for 3 5/8" big bore pistons.  Huh, what do you know ?????

Just Go . . .

This photo just makes a guy want to go around a track . . .
and see what you could do . . ?

Fit and Finish . . . Oil Pump

I very rarely ever have a problem with S&S Products.  They are some of the best in the industry.  Full instructions included.  Everything fits.  Nice, quality parts.  You get what you pay for.  When you want to build stock, modified or Crazy Shit . . . it just don't matter what . . . I say, "Go with S&S Cycle."

Country ride to the pond . . .

Big Lure = Little Fish . . .  Hmmmm?

Time for lunch . . .

Flywheels all true . . .
Assemble Timken bearing . . .
Double check everything . . .
Stop work for Taquito Rancheros Pollo carry-out order . . .

Crazy stuff . . .

I've been workin' hard on the latest project . . . tryin' my best to utilize all "Made In The USA" parts.  So far so good.  Companies like S&S, Rowe, Eastern, Colony, Andrews, Casite, James . . . you be the judge.
The best part of it all?  MADE IN IOWA !  (or rebuilt in Iowa to say the least . . . )

K Model . . . completed

Finally got the K runnin' half-way decent.  Still need about a 28 or 30 pilot and move the needle around a bit more, but, it's on the street again.  Like my new FL oil bag emblems ?

Chopper Dave's X-Wedge

If I had to pick a chopper that stuck in my mind the best over past couple years, it would have to be this one.

Two is better . . .

DA Enterprises - 4" Risers

McFarland made me some caps (since they come up missin' . . .) on these cool risers.  You can see I smoothed out the cap on the right - the left is still rough.  Now I just need some white rouge and I'll be buffin' in the backyard.  All set up for my Biltwell bars.

Torque Fest is best . . .

I think the most fun is probably camping, havin' a few, the bands, the bikes, the art, the swap meet, the cheap food and beer, the rods, the very understanding law enforcement (which I heard gave everyone a break who happened to deal with them) . . . or the vintage cars & motorcycle races, or maybe the buses?  It was all super cool.  The best part was all my friends I got to hang with again.  Thanks dudes - Love you all !

Torque Fest . . . a bit more.

Can't really say enough about this event.  Heard all sorts of opinions . . . had to find out for myself.  My total grade for this deal is an A+.  If it was broke from before, they fixed it.  I went to Viva Vegas the last (2) years - and this is better.  really super cool.    Only in Iowa
