More Sturgis 75th . . .

I got like 275+ photos . . . Really great year at Sturgis 75th !
I couldn't believe all the events going on in one place . . .
Just couldn't do it all . . .

I really like what Brawny, Thor & everyone is doin'
with those new 750s . . .

Show Pan for the Ages

Lots & lots of handmade parts.  Many hours of thinking and planning.  Carbon in the pipe suggests it runs down the road . . . Crazy cool build.  Awesome.  It must have some heavy-duty, reinforced rocker covers?  A special cam(changed pinion shaft?) and gear to run all that?  Hmmmm? . . Or only one actually works?  Thinking as I was looking . . .

So many different ways to transfer the power . . .

See See Motorcycles - CC Flat Track IRONMAN !

This guy Thor(white jump suit) totally blew minds when you found out he built this new Harley-Davidson Street 750 into a full-out street legal flat track bike (see the LED headlight?) . . . . then packed it with gear and rode the bike over 1000+ miles from the NE to race it . . . then ride it all the way home.  He finished a solid 4th (just off the podium) and in-my-book he wins both the Ironman Award - AND the Best Sounding Award (it sounded exactly like an aluminum XR750 @7500rpm)  He measured XR exhaust lengths, and fabbed his exhaust pipes accordingly.  If you've been wondering about Harley's new 750 . . . I'm here to say, they are the real deal - and I hope we can meet again - A totally gnarly nice dude.

Sturgis 75th: Race Shit, Show Shit, Cool Shit

It's hard to be everywhere in Sturgis.  This 75th year had more than a guy could take in - all in one week.  I know more short-cuts than anybody around here, but it's just hard to see everything . . . but I gave it a good try.  Bike shows, Races . . . and Party 'Til 2am . . . I'm beat.

Chopper Dave Sturgis 2015

It's been almost 10 years since the first time I met Dave . . . and it would be neat if we lived closer, he's just so cool, a guy can learn so much from him - a total genius with motorcycles.  In the heat-of-frustration, his calm demeanor helped everyone who needed tech advice.  Dave rode out from Long Beach on his friend's FXR (complete with CDCC custom cast parts) - then, he raced the borrowed FOUR FIVE from the (RSD) camp in the Hooligan event.  I was so envious he was gettin' to make laps.  Looked fun as hell . . . It totally fucking ruled.  Just the best to hang with CD . . . See ya soon !
