I have always wondered why stock cam profiles are so conservative..Why would you build a mild engine when there is another 25% power available with a better cam? Thanks for posting the cam profiles.
Probably due to easier starting, more torque, less harsh on the tappets, etc. I know what you're saying however. Typically, I like the smaller cams. All my bikes have these big cams - and I seem to ride the motors more stock - so go figure that out !
