Motorcycles Are Expensive

Every bike I've had pretty much started out like this.  A box of stuff, missing about everything.  Many of you have done the same thing . . . My first bike was wrecked with broken cases.  The next one was all apart, but mostly original H-D parts.  From there on out, they were all in piles, or missing about everything 'cept the vital pieces.  Above is the '54 Panhead.  You sure learn a lot when you do it this way.  Much more than a guy realizes . . . I could probably afford a complete bike now - but why start ?

Not everyone can save history. Some have the calling. How rewarding that can be and special.

Very true. I'm saving history for myself...and whatever comes after me is anyone's guess. Most of these bikes will probably end up parked. It takes a lot of time to keep 'em all going for sure. I'm waitin' for some knucklehead parts to pop up - the stuff nobody wants - but it's not happening anytime soon I see....I don't know why I even want to build one - that or maybe an Aermacchi Sprint CR dirt tracker???
A 250cc might be more my speed soon? Good to hear from ya...-Noot
