Mason is 14 (going on 15) years old . . .
Michael's Chopper
Michael is the one behind Flying Weasel Paint,
. . . so I expect this will get painted somethin' rad soon?
Buco story . . .
I was in an antique store (I think in Cedar Falls/Waterloo, Iowa area?) and was flippin' through a clothes rack. On the far edge of the rack hung a weathered cycle-champ style police jacket. I picked it off the rack - it was heavy as hell. I noticed it had a set of keys in the pocket. The tag read BUCO. I asked the clerk how much? (no tag) and she hadn't seen that coat in the store. Huh? Where did it come from? I tried it on, and it fit great ! Then a girl walked in, with me holding the coat - and said, "Thanks !" She was about 6 feet tall and kinda built (but in the right places, if you know what I mean?) She helped her friend load a table bought from the store, and hung it on the edge of the rack. She had good taste in jackets . . her perfume stayed on me for awhile, which was kinda cool since it smelled great !
1942 WLA
This "original" motorcycle was at Dubuque last weekend.
It was pretty darn correct, except for spelling . . .
Torquefest 2017
Hangin' with Peedro & Pete all weekend was a total blast. Fun times with Michael, Nate, Jace, Mason, Zac and Will . . . nice to see Lil' Chris (too bad his bike broke, sucks!) The Seeley's, Dave and Berger helped with my dirt-learning-curve . . . thanks again fellas ! Tripped the ship with Mothership again . . . See ya'll soon. -Noot
Zac says . . . "Did you see that shit ! ? ! "
Suspicious people . . . jammin' late into the nite . . .
Will and his totally sweet panhead !
I took my new flat track track bike, and it worked great all day. They said I did about 70-80 laps and the final session went a full feature of 30+ laps back and forth with Chappy Seeley . . . until my leg was ready to fall off and he was gettin' arm pump. Better quit while we're still running ! One of the most funs days of my whole life - totally awesome. A huge thanks to John Wells for the perfect track, and the opportunity to ride. Respectfully, -Noot
This car came rollin' in and just looked so cool . . .
John Tibben from Iowa
John Tibben #60 with his unorthodox style (sitting kinda cock-eyed) in the saddle . . . but it sure worked for him ! A fast and highly successful racer, Tibben got his start from Mike Wilson, and later moved to Chicago, where he worked at Chicago H-D - honing his skills at Santa Fe Speedway. Tibben is rumored to have ran over 1000 races in his career, and ran the Daytona 200 - 9 times ! He still lives down near Victor, Iowa I heard . . .
K is tops !
I know a guy who has one, just like this !
That would be the ultimate for me.
Back roads wearing vintage gear at 50mph all day long.
