Why 52%? Most flywheels are 60%. Aren't they?

60% for hot street motors and 52% for highway cruisin' . . . it works.

See, I thought 60% for a BT was the magic number, too. I know the earlier factory spec for balance was 55%.

I know that a lot of engine builders that use shaved flywheels or lighter flywheel sets use 50-55%.
